Hooker Corner, Indiana is an extinct town that was located in Pine Township in Warren County Indiana west of the town of Pine Village. A few buildings, including a one room schoolhouse established by George Hooker, were once at the location. Today, Hooker Corner Cemetary is still located at the site. Scott and Jae Ann Brier loved spending their free time visiting wineries, and decided to start making their own wine in 2015 to share with family and friends. In 2017 they begin making plans to open a farm winery on their property near Hooker Corner, Indiana. Jae Ann‘s grandmother had attended Hooker School and social media posts would tag the couple at the location, so it only seemed fitting to name the winery after the location also. Hooker Corner Winery opened on September 4, 2017. In keeping with the double entendre that the name Hooker Corner established in some peoples minds, the owners used the same concept to design the wine label and name the wines. The Winery has a tasting room and outdoor patio with a wonderful country side view. Visitors can enjoy free wine tasting, glasses or flights of wine, wine slushy‘s, cheese flights and chips and queso indoors or while searching for wildlife on the outdoor patio.
We are a small family owned and operated Vineyard, Winery, & Distillery established August 1, 2012. We started out as most people that like wine visiting different wineries and wine trails. Our vineyard consists of 6 acres of different grape varieties. We take pride in growing and processing our grapes from vine to wine and shine. In August of 2015 we started up Windy Ridge Distillery! Primarily we wanted to make Brandy from our grapes but we also offer clear whiskies (moonshine) and flavored whiskies. We offer free wine & spirits tasting with a peaceful relaxing environment.

The opening of TJ Haase Winery in 2014, which sits next to the owners’ home is a dream come true for Doug and Cathy Haase. The name they chose for their new business is also significant. TJ is the initials of Doug’s son, Tyler Jacob, who was passed away in 2010. It has always been a dream to have a winery and live the Italian heritage through wine making. The winery is located in a small town with Italian heritage. The old rail depot served as a place where settlers would pick up grapes once a year to make their wine. As a young boy, Doug would help an old Italian lady grind grapes and stir the barrel while she made wine. Her inspiration, and the Italian heritage of his mother, kept our drive to someday serve wine to the neighboring community where we have lived all our lives. We have engaged in many wine adventures, traveling to several wineries throughout the country, and reeled in a great deal of knowledge from The Finger Lakes, in New York. All of this, helping to make our dream a reality. The winery makes and serves several variety of wine. From white to red and dry to sweet. Slushies also fill the winery menu.
On May 26th, 2017 we began our journey with craft beer. We introduced the Shaggy Ass Brewery to our adventure. All beer, just like our wine, is made on sight. We began with the Shaggy Dog, an American Pale Ale and the Shaggy Pup, an American Pale Ale Light.

Britton found his passion in wine making in 2010.
